Our staff are childcare professionals holding a variety of recognised childcare qualifications, we elect our staff very carefully ensuring that they are dedicated childcare professionals and meet the criteria as expected, and hold valid enhanced DBS.
We recognise the link between enthusiastic staff and high quality childcare. Therefore, when choosing staff, we look not only at qualifications and experience, but also for that extra passion and commitment to working with young children. As a result of this, our staff are well trained, motivated and passionate about providing the best environment for your child.
We offer many training opportunities for all staff to ensure they are up to date with all current practices and legislation. All staff must go through induction to ensure all policies and procedures are being adhered to at all times.
Ratios
Our staffing ratios are 1:4 for all children between 2-3 years and 1:8 for all children 3 years plus.
Key Person
We operate a Key-Person system in the pre-school. A member of staff is allocated to both you and your child to ensure a consistent approach to your child’s development.
Ange is qualified to BA(Hons) Child & Family Studies & has gained her Early Years Professional Statue (EYPS), Ange is one of the Designated Safeguard Leads and a paediatric first aider. Ange has worked in Pre-Schools since qualifying in 1999, initially working her way up from Deputy Manager. She is responsible for the day to day running of the pre-school. Ange prides herself on building relationships with families and offering a highly professional standard of care to all.
Sam is qualified to NVQ level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. Sam has a wide range of skills which are evident in her professional approach to all areas of EYFS and the planning of activities and topics to develop the children on their learning journey. Sam is paediatric first aid trained.
Sharron is qualified to level 3 NVQ in Children's care, Learning & Development. Sharron started her career in childcare working in an out of school club before starting at Little Chicks. Where she has attended training courses to enhance her skills and professional development. Sharron believes all children should have the best start to early education and be able play and learn in a safe, fun and stimulating environment. Sharron is paediatric first aid trained.
Teckers is qualified to level 3 NVQ in Supporting teaching and learning in schools. She started working at Little Chicks as an Apprentice working towards her level 3 in 2016. Tecker’s has become a great asset to our setting she has a caring and nurturing personality which has been portrayed in her performance. Tecker’s is paediatric first aid trained
